A May 2025-themed digital bulletin board featuring polaroid-like photos from pop-up events, art and photo collages, current journal prompts, new sticker designs, and a handwritten-style note listing upcoming May events.
My May 2025 bulletin board of photos from pop-up events, photo/art collages, current journal prompts, new sticker designs, and a piece of paper with info about my May 2025 adventures

Here are a few journal prompts that I'm currently using! So, if you're unsure of what to write and need some journal prompt ideas? I got you!

My Current Journal Prompts

My go-to journal prompts for May 2025 and so fourth! The daily events prompt is one prompt that is here to stay for me!

  1. Past Travels

I also have a Japan Oct/Nov 2024 scrapbook/junk journal/travel journal that I am still currently adding in (and almost done).

  • I also like to draw my blob characters into my travel photos!

  1. My Eats

I love food. Especially ice cream and anything matcha. I like to take photos of food. I also like to doodle and draw my original characters with my food!

  1. My Art Journey

I write about my art journey, and include photos of my sketchbook pages, pop-up events, and what I am currently working on for my shop.

  1. My Microadventures

Don't always have time to travel far? Explore your local city! Take a peek into that local café you've been driving by that you KNOW would make the PERFECT spot to journal while sipping on a delicious matte latte! Try out that local hiking trail that makes you feel as if you're hundreds of miles away from suburbia. You could write about your microadventure WHILE doing the actual 'adventuring'. Sounds perfect, right?

  • I draw the blobs with my on my micro-adventures!

  • A microadventure is a "term that was made common by British adventurer and author Alastair Humphreys" and is defined as '"as overnight outdoor adventure that is "small and achievable, for normal people with real lives"' per Wikipedia.

    • Alastair Humphreys defines a micro-adventure/microadventure "an adventure that is short, simple, local, cheap – yet still fun, exciting, challenging, refreshing and rewarding".

  • Keep reading below to see my current microadventuring plans and if you'd like to add that to your list of microadventures to complete!

My current microadventure to-do list for 2025:

  1. Hike the trails in Orange County, California - and bring my son (my dog, lol) to all the trails that allow dogs.

  2. Visit museums in Los Angeles and Orange County.

  3. Take a weekend trip up north of California using the Amtrak.

  4. Visit all the local coffee shops!

    • I want to try all the delicious cappuccinos and matcha, and support the small, local businesses!

  5. Visit all the Orange County Parks with my dog.

I plan on journaling about all my microadventures and therefore this list is in a way a journal prompt list too! My pen will definitely be working overtime - for my fellow anime fans, as Nanami Kento, would say - as I complete my microadventures to-do list.

  1. Daily Events

I use my 'daily journal' to document my daily events and to keep track of things that happened. I don't use digital journaling at the moment to document my daily events. I currently use a daily journal and calendar all in one that I bought while in Japan back in Oct/Nov of 2024.

A digital journal spread titled "My Current Journal Prompts – May 2025." The spread includes a list of prompts, with “my microadventures” and
daily events". Scattered throughout the page are blob characters, one with an egg on its head and the other with a blue cowboy hat—original designs by the artist, lilsboobthangs.
My current journal prompts as of May 2025. Daily events will always be a staple of mine. The little characters are my original designs and are 'blobs'.
